Simple projects that feel special
For this project, I’m stepping just a little outside the usual and bringing back a classic — the cross card — but with a fresh take using beautiful Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper.

This design is simple, meaningful, and perfect for Easter crafting. It’s one of those cards that looks a little extra special but comes together in a really fun way.
If you’d like to recreate it, I’ve got you covered:
- 🎥 Full video tutorial
- 📄 Step-by-step PDF
So you can craft along at your own pace..
Returning to a classic can be just the thing to reset the creative mind just a little bit.
For this card I did use mostly DSP and a couple of retired Stampin’ Up! Stamp Set’s – Gift of Hope and Easter Promise, I also used our current set Faith Collection.
Why did I use retired sets? Someone – we won’t mention names – lost the He is Risen stamp from the Faith Collection. (Me! 🙋♀️ I would be that someone and it wouldn’t be Easter season if I didn’t lose the stamp. It’s a tradition apparently 🙃) I had them out so I just rolled with it!

#stampitcontest So realistic looking
Love how you brought a fresh twist to the classic cross card—it’s such a lovely way to honor tradition while keeping things fun and creative. The video tutorial is a great touch, especially for those of us who learn best by watching. Your honest little mishap with the lost stamp just made the whole post even more relatable and charming!
Love the wood and the different fun fold you did with this than I have seen before.
#stampitcontest Like your card.
Oh I like how your card opens!!
Love the paper. This is awesome.
I love how you made this cross card feel fresh by incorporating Designer Series Paper. It’s always fun to see a twist on traditional designs! The video tutorial will definitely make it easier to recreate, especially for those of us who aren’t as experienced in card-making.
Beautiful! The cross really looks like real wood.
