Ever have one of those moments where something just clicks and you instantly feel like a genius… or maybe like, ‘how did I not know this before?!’
That was me about 45 minutes ago. I was struggling with creating or finding a background paper that worked really well with my design. Then I tried a little trick that I have seen done but had my doubts about, WHOA. Total game-changer. I didn’t need to stress about this—l just needed to try this little trick. Of course I had to share it with all of you!
What I did was: grab a piece of wax paper or something slick – I’ll be honest, I used a piece of the paper in a cling set that has the stickers on it….. just tap it into the inks and just randomly tap on the paper. Use more colors to add depth and variety but a single color would work as well. My handles are going to be a one of a kind!!
**Pardon the bad video ability! I held my camera in one hand while showing how to do this so there is a lot of movement. I was super excited!! A little shocked it actually worked too!
You really need to try this magic that made me feel like a grown-up with genius ideas.

My video wont stay loaded – crying 😭- I have outsmarted the technology and adding the YouTube link. You can also find it on my Facebook page!
Here is a better photo of what was created originally. You will see from the video that this one looks a little different and that is because after I stamped it I gently rubbed the colors into the paper filling the white in a little more.

I’m using Stampin’ Up Crumb Cake and Pool Party Classic Stampin’ Pads for this video!
That is my excitement and Pinky and the Brain moment for you all!!
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

We are doing new and fun things over on Facebook!
I’ve taken a leap into the Live Stream world with a monthly card class. I will have video recordings uploaded to YouTube and will have them linked in here as well.
Just a few little details about these classes. First and foremost, they are FREE!!
I will provide the measurements and products I use during the classes but the creativity is limitless and you can choose whatever products you would like. There is no right or wrong.
These classes are really just to bring us all together once a month and have some crafty time and relax. The class will be the last Saturday of the Month at 7pm CST and last about an hour.
With that said, I’m always open to suggestions and anything you all might be interested in or a theme you would like to see! Just give me a shout over on my social media pages and let me know!
Our Father’s Day Facebook Live Card Class will be using Stampin’ Up! Trusty Tools Stamp Set and Dies. See you Saturday May 31 @ 7PM (CST)!
If you have any questions please reach out to me.
Happy Stamping!!

Watch for some awesome ideas and a little peek at what’s coming soon!

My Favorite Stampin Tools
1.Take Your Pick | |

So many uses and attachments for this little tool that makes crafting so much easier! I have 3 currently in my tools drawer! |
2.Stampin’ Glass Mat Studio (Imperial)

This glass mat is amazing! I love that you can write on it, stamp on it and use it to line up paper. Easy to use and super easy to clean up when you’re all done! |
3.Simply Scored | |

The Simply Scored is in my top 5 because it make scoring easy when you’re doing a bunch of scoring at once or intricate score marks for a fold. Also saves you from cutting when wanting to score! The diagonal board is also super helpful when doing scores for envelopes and boxes. |
4.Blending Brushes | |

Oh my blending brushes. These little fellows are a blessing when it comes to adding color and making scenes! I could write an entire book on why you should have these in your tool bag! |
5.Soft Pastels Assortment

These are a sentimental favorite. I have been using soft pastels in art work since high school. They are a unique color tool that believe it or not has a lot of different uses and color techniques. If you want to explore coloring then grab a set of these! |
