Be sure to drop a comment below for a chance to win a Stampin’ Up!©️ Birthday Sparkle Kit.

I wanted to make a special and unique card this evening for a couple of reasons. 1: Mom’s are special and should have a card that is unique like her. 2: We are kicking off our Mother’s Day Series tonight and I really wanted to have something fun and different!

I found this card over on Pinterest when I was searching for new ideas. Sam over at Mixed Up Crafts (She has some amazing tutorials and inspiration!!) made a Tower Pillar Card and I fell in love with the concept, not so much on the size. So I tweaked it and now I have 2 different folded sized to share with you – 5” x 7” and 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”!

Thank you Sam for all your inspiration! I can always count on your videos to bring me back into my creative space! If you guys want to check her fun out you can find her website here – Mixed Up Craft!

I am in no way affiliated with Mixed Up Craft – just a huge fan 😉

LETS DIVE IN TO THE FUN!

Starting with the measurements for the paper:

For ink I am using Balmy Blue and Calypso Coral Classic Stampin’ Pad.

THERE IS A FULL LIST OF PRODUCTS BELOW WITH LINKS AND PRODUCT NUMBERS.

I wanted to make a few more samples and a video to show you how to assemble this card but time was running out. If I am able to get to them this evening and grab a video of the process I will upload them for you here and on my Facebook page.

Lets create!

I am trying a new way of getting the instruction with the photo’s. Trying new programs and learning this new platform making things look different at times. Be patient as I figure this out and find what fits for everyone!

Instructions:

  • Cut all the paper to the size needed. See PDF for scoring and size correlation.
  • Attach the DSP to the bases: Only use the 3 center sections on the tower (large) pieces.
  • Glue the end of one small cardstock to the other one
  • Attach the ends together to create 2 boxes
  • Fold the tower pieces and glue the tabs on the inside.
  • Attach the boxes to the top and bottom of the tower pieces – I have the towers set in the center of the sides
  • Now create your sentiments and cut your decorations! I am using Tags of Thanks and She’s the Best stamp sets along with Beautiful Butterflies for my sentiments and decorations.  Be creative here – custom this to your intended Mom! I do in fact have a mom in my tribe that loves butterflies!
  • I attached the butterflies on the towers and the boxes – top and bottom pieces – the sentiment and blank circle to the backside of the large card.
  • Add in some bling and you’re all done!

There is a large amount of scoring, and glueing involved in this, to help, I have created a printable PDF that contains measurements, scoring and brief instructions.

Product List

We are doing new and frighting things over on Facebook!

I’ve taken a leap into the Live Stream world with a monthly card class. I will have video recordings uploaded to YouTube and will have them linked in here as well.

Just a few little details about these classes. First and foremost, they are FREE!!

I will provide the measurements and products I use during the classes but the creativity is limitless and you can choose whatever products you would like. There is no right or wrong.

These classes are really just to bring us all together once a month and have some crafty time and relax. The class will be the last Saturday of the Month at 7pm CST and last about an hour.

With that said, I’m always open to suggestions and anything you all might be interested in or a theme you would like to see! Just give me a shout over on my social media pages and let me know!

Happy Stamping!!

My Favorite Stampin Tools

1.Take Your Pick
144107s So many uses and attachments for this little tool that makes crafting so much easier! I have 3 currently in my tools drawer!
2.Stampin’ Glass Mat Studio (Imperial)
163987s This glass mat is amazing! I love that you can write on it, stamp on it and use it to line up paper. Easy to use and super easy to clean up when you’re all done!
3.Simply Scored
122334s The Simply Scored is in my top 5 because it make scoring easy when you’re doing a bunch of scoring at once or intricate score marks for a fold. Also saves you from cutting when wanting to score! The diagonal board is also super helpful when doing scores for envelopes and boxes.
4.Blending Brushes
153611s Oh my blending brushes. These little fellows are a blessing when it comes to adding color and making scenes! I could write an entire book on why you should have these in your tool bag!
5.Soft Pastels Assortment
154585s These are a sentimental favorite. I have been using soft pastels in art work since high school. They are a unique color tool that believe it or not has a lot of different uses and color techniques. If you want to explore coloring then grab a set of these!

  1. Your 3-D card is definitely “ fun and different”! I love your color choices. Thank you for this generous giveaway!

  2. This is awesome! I often see cards from Sam that I think are amazing but I’m to intimidated (lazy) to tweak them to 4.25 x 5.5. Bless you for doing it. I can’t wait to give it a try.

  3. Love the card style. I’ve been stamping for 20 years and this card style is a first for me. It is so fun! Thank you for the PDF, that is very kind of you.
