💜 The Secret Is Finally Out: Create • Craft • Share Is Here!

Well… the secret is finally out. 😂💜

If you’ve been following along, you’ve probably noticed a suspicious amount of purple showing up around PaperTales lately.

There was a reason.

And tonight, Sweed and I officially kicked off Create • Craft • Share — From Our Craft Room for Our Community. 💜

This is a month-long fundraiser supporting ACCESS Assault Care Center Extending Shelter & Support, running October 6 through November 6, 2026.

And yes… Sweed has decided he is in charge.

I’m choosing to call him the Chaos Supervisor and move on. 😂🐾

💜 WHY ACCESS?

ACCESS provides support and services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as children and families affected by violence.

They provide important resources including advocacy, safety planning, shelter and support to help people navigate incredibly difficult circumstances and move toward safety and healing.

This organization is important to me for personal reasons, and that’s a big part of why I wanted to do something a little different this year.

I love crafting.

I love creating.

And I love the PaperTales community that has grown around this little craft room of mine.

So I wanted to take something I already love and use it to help give back to our community. ❤️

One of the things that was important to me was making sure there wasn’t just one way to participate.

🎥 WATCH THE KICKOFF

Sweed and I talked about the fundraiser, ACCESS, all the different ways you can participate, and what we’ll be doing throughout the month.

And, of course, Sweed had to show off a few cards he has been meddling with.

Apparently purple and Christmas needed to become friends. 😂💜🎄

I thought about actually making a card during the Live, but decided it was more important to spend the time talking about why we’re doing this rather than spending 20 minutes watching me fight with adhesive.

Because let’s be honest…

You’ve seen that show before. 😂

💜 THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING

Throughout October, I’ll be sharing more about ACCESS, the work they do, the people they serve, and why organizations like this are so important.

You’ll also see plenty of crafty projects, fundraiser options, purple, and probably more than a little Sweed chaos. 🐾😂

The fundraiser runs through November 6, and we’ll wrap everything up with a Celebration Craft Party on November 7.

There will be more details about that as we get closer!
