I’m excited to share two creative alternative projects using the February 2026 – Celebrate Spring – Paper Pumpkin Kit from Stampin’ Up!
🌿Welcome to the Creative Hub.
Here’s what you’ll find below (besides a little creative chaos):
This is a place where cozy creativity meets the moments that matter most – with a little bit of shenanigans sprinkled around.
- Little peek at the messy magic behind the scenes
- Cute Easter basket for sweet treats
- Unique Easter postcard
- Printable templates to make them yourself
- Printable PDF instructions
If you’re new to the hop, APPT is all about taking our monthly Paper Pumpkin kits and creating something outside the box — literally! Instead of just assembling the kit as designed, we stretch our creativity and see what else we can make using the kit supplies.
Each project in this hop features the February kit with coordinating Stampin’ Up! products. I am Mikki Winebrenner from Iowa, and you have landed here on the PaperTales Creative Hub. 🌸 About This Month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit
This month’s Paper Pumpkin kit is full of sweet spring charm and was the perfect starting point for a little “outside the box” creativity.
The February Paper Pumpkin Kit: Celebrate Spring is all about welcoming the season with sweet Easter and spring-inspired designs.
This kit includes everything needed to create 9 handmade cards (3 each of 3 designs) along with coordinating envelopes. Inside you’ll find precut paper pieces, pink baker’s twine, and iridescent pink and yellow sequins to add a little sparkle to your projects.
The coordinating colors for this kit include Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Lemon Lolly, Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink, and Shy Shamrock (Classic Stampin’ Spot).
Even better, this kit coordinates beautifully with the Easter Joy Suite Collection, making it easy to expand your projects even further.
It’s a sweet little kit that’s perfect for spring crafting — and clearly great for a little PaperTales remix too.
🌀 Real Life Craft Desk Moment

Before the magic happens… there’s usually a moment that looks like this.
- Paper pieces everywhere.
- Ribbon wandering off the table.
- Stamp blocks hiding under cardstock.
This is what thinking outside the box with a Paper Pumpkin kit actually looks like at my craft table.
A little creative chaos, a lot of ideas, and eventually something fun comes together.
For this hop I created two projects using the February 2026 Paper Pumpkin Kit, and they were so much fun to put together.

🐰 Project One – Tiny Basket, Big Easter Energy
My first project is this adorable little Easter treat basket, perfect for holding a few sweet goodies. Think chocolate eggs, jelly beans, or any tiny treats that deserve a cute handmade home. (Lindor chocolate eggs fit perfectly — just saying!).

The front features a layered bunny-in-a-basket cutout, while the back is open so the treats can peek out and be easily grabbed. It’s simple, cute, and perfect for Easter gifting.
These little baskets would be perfect for:
- Easter table place settings
- Gift toppers
- Classroom treats
- Or tucked into an Easter basket for a handmade surprise
And yes… chocolate eggs absolutely win here.
This little basket was one of those “let’s see what happens if…” moments that turned into a happy bit of creative chaos.
To build the basket, I used a simple box structure and let the kit elements bring all the spring charm.

A little scoring, a few folds, and suddenly you’ve got the cutest tiny basket ready for Easter goodies.
🐣 Project Two – Happy Mail, Easter Style
My second project is a 4” x 6” Easter postcard, created using elements from the kit.

I love the idea of sending a little handmade happy mail, and a postcard is such a fun twist on a traditional card.
For this one, I added a bit of dimension with popped-up elements, which gives it some extra charm but also means it will need an envelope for mailing (unless you’re hand delivering it).
Since the postcard measures 4” x 6”, I’ll be including a simple envelope template here so you can easily create one that fits perfectly.
It’s a fun way to stretch your Paper Pumpkin supplies and turn the kit pieces into something just a little different from the original designs.

Try Thinking Outside the Box – Embrace the chaos
One of the things I love most about Paper Pumpkin kits is how versatile they can be. Once you start looking at the pieces differently, the creative possibilities really open up.
I hope these projects inspire you to take your kits and try creating something a little outside the box too!

March Paper Pumpkin – Fluttering Garden
Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription kit that delivers exclusive stamps, supplies, and project ideas right to your door.
If you love surprise creativity in the mail each month, it’s a fantastic way to craft!
