Welcome!

Tonight I have a unique Cross Card and Treat Box for our final segment of the Easter’s On It’s Way! Series. Stampin’ Up!©️ Faith Collection Bundle is what we will be using for the card.

This stamp set is part of the Faith Collection Bundle that can be found on the Online Exclusives page over at my store.

I have a couple of projects tonight for you to finish off the Easter’s On It’s Way! Series. We will be doing a simple cross card with a coordinating cross treat box.

I’ve been pouring a lot into new content, and the blog is getting a serious glow-up. Fresh posts, helpful ideas, and things I think you’re going to love for any last minute ideas.

But after that? I’m pressing pause for the rest of Holy Week. Time to rest, recharge, and realign before stepping into what’s next.

Check out the updates tonight-and then let’s both take a breather. You deserve it too. I’ll be back next week, refreshed and ready!

Thursday April 24th we will kick off our new theme with Stamp It Groups Mother’s Day Blog Hop!

LETS DIVE IN TO THE FUN!

Starting with the Cross Card measurements:

For ink I am using Garden Green and Early Espresso Classic Stampin’ Pad.

Here is a template of sorts on how I measured and cut the card base. Creative freedom here on how you want to do cut this, both sides of the card or just the front! Totally up to you!!

Lets create!

I am trying a new way of getting the instruction with the photo’s. Trying new programs and learning this new platform making things look different at times. Be patient as I figure this out and find what fits for everyone!

Instructions

  • Cut and score your paper. Use the template below for cutting the cross pattern card base.
    • Note the Gorgeous Grape and Country Woods DSP (x6) pieces are very much optional.
    • Scoring for the Lemon Lolly 5” x 7-3/4” are: 1-5/8”x 2-1/8”, 2-5/8”, 3-1/8”, 4-5/8”x 5-1/8”, 5-5/8”, 6-1/8” – all on the Long Side.
  • Attach the DSP to the card front with liquid glue.
  • Stamp the palms stamp onto a piece of scrap paper – I used a light wood grain but you ould use any color – with Garden Green Classic Stamp Pad.
    • Stamp “He is risen” in the center of the cross with Early Espresso.
    • Cut the sentiment piece out with the coordinating die.
    • Attach a piece of white woven ribbon to the card front draping it over the cross. Tack down the center with a glue dot and the same for the back pieces.  (This is optional, the card looks great without the ribbon!)
    • Attach the sentiment over the ribbon with Stampin Dimensionals.
  • Cut a few small strips of the wood grain paper to attach to the inside of the card as well as on the envelope.

Moving on to the Cross Treat Box!

Measurements for this box are:

See Templates below for all scoring and cutting of the box base and lid!

Boho Blue 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock, Ink and Marker are no longer available and have retired 😒. As a replacement you can easily switch out to Misty Moonlight and I have included that in the product list below.

There is a massive amount of scoring, folding and cutting involved in this, to help, I have created a printable PDF that contains measurements and templates to both projects.

Instructions:

  • Cut your paper to size. Use the templates for cutting and scoring!
  • Fold all the score lines – except the four corners – inward.
    • Fold the four corners out.
    • Attach all the tabs along the inside of the box – it is a bit easier to start with the long (vertical) section first.
  • Repeat the steps with the box lid.
  • Lay the Basic Beige cardstock onto the cross like you would be attaching it.
    • Only create the cross with the cardstock by glueing the two pieces together and then set the box aside.
  • Attach the DSP to the Basic Beige cardstock with liquid glue.
  • Wrap Linen thread around the joint of the cross 3-4 times and tie it off in the back.
  • Attach the cardstock cross to the lid of the cross box with liquid glue.
  • The box hold small treats, mine is filled with chocolate eggs (min peanut butter cups fit as well!).
  • Stamp the sentiment “Happy Easter” – or any sentiment you choose – on a scrap piece of Basic White and set it over the candy.

NOW YOU HAVE A FUN AND UNIQUE GIFT AND CARD TO SHARE WITH SOMEONE SPECIAL!

I have a full list of products used on both of the projects as well as links to them in my store below. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to me either in the comments below or privately!

Happy Stamping!

Product List

We are doing new and frighting things over on Facebook!

I’ve taken a leap into the Live Stream world with a monthly card class. I will have video recordings uploaded to YouTube and will have them linked in here as well.

Just a few little details about these classes. First and foremost, they are FREE!!

I will provide the measurements and products I use during the classes but the creativity is limitless and you can choose whatever products you would like. There is no right or wrong.

These classes are really just to bring us all together once a month and have some crafty time and relax. The class will be the last Saturday of the Month at 7pm CST and last about an hour.

With that said, I’m always open to suggestions and anything you all might be interested in or a theme you would like to see! Just give me a shout over on my social media pages and let me know!

I will post more details on the projects as we get close to the date. This will allow you to prep as much as you need.

If you have any questions please reach out to me.

Happy Stamping!!

My Favorite Stampin Tools

1.Take Your Pick
144107s So many uses and attachments for this little tool that makes crafting so much easier! I have 3 currently in my tools drawer!
2.Stampin’ Glass Mat Studio (Imperial)
163987s This glass mat is amazing! I love that you can write on it, stamp on it and use it to line up paper. Easy to use and super easy to clean up when you’re all done!
3.Simply Scored
122334s The Simply Scored is in my top 5 because it make scoring easy when you’re doing a bunch of scoring at once or intricate score marks for a fold. Also saves you from cutting when wanting to score! The diagonal board is also super helpful when doing scores for envelopes and boxes.
4.Blending Brushes
153611s Oh my blending brushes. These little fellows are a blessing when it comes to adding color and making scenes! I could write an entire book on why you should have these in your tool bag!
5.Soft Pastels Assortment
154585s These are a sentimental favorite. I have been using soft pastels in art work since high school. They are a unique color tool that believe it or not has a lot of different uses and color techniques. If you want to explore coloring then grab a set of these!
