Welcome!

Tonight I have a super fun basket of carrots for our Easter’s On It’s Way! Series using Stampin’ Up!©️ Shades & Hues 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper!

This DSP is part of the Online Exclusive item that can be found on the Online Exclusives page over at my store.

Before we get to the card and all the fun I wanted to explain a few things real quick. This set is one of 3 going live this evening and all of them are a “catch up” for the Easter series.

Also if the video gets edited for the Facebook Live catch up it will also go live later this evening.

I have decided to take the rest of Holy Week off to regroup and maybe take a breath or two. Possibly clean my office since it’s an Easter explosion right now!

Be prepared for a lot of things tonight and hopefully some of these will be helpful to you for any last minute ideas!

*PSA* Shade’s & Hughe’s 6” x 6” DSP is retiring 🥺 You will want to stock up and grab it while it’s still available! You can find ALL the Last Chance Products right here and remember, once they are gone they are not coming back!😏

Lets create!

There are actually 2, technically 3 treats being made tonight. Carrots, a basket for said carrots and I have a cut little Chocolate Bunny holder sample as well.

Starting with the measurements:

Carrots:

Shade’s & Hues 6” x 6” DSP: 4-1/4” x 5-/2” (x4)

Shy Shamrock 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 1/2” x 1-1/2” (x4)

Basket:

Shade’s & Hues 6” x 6” DSP: 6” x 6” scored at 2” on all 4 sides

Misty Moonlight 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 1-1/2” x 11”

For Ink I used Shy Shamrock

Lets create!

I am trying a new way of getting the instruction with the photo’s. I’m still learning this new platform and trying a few new things out. If you see something you like or dislike with the instructions please let me know! Your feedback is 100% important!!

Disclaimer: I am using a retired punch in this one! I wanted a fun handle for the basket but you can leave it as solid strip.

Instructions

  • Score the 6”x 6” DSP on all sides at 2”
  • Score diagonally on the 4 corners (see diagram above)
  • If you have a border punch, punch out the handle, if not that’s fine.
  • Fold all scored lines as you see above and punch holes in the 4 corners for your ribbon
  • Thread 2 pieces of ribbon into the punched holes.
  • Pull the corners together to create 4 triangles and tie off in a bow.
  • Set the basket aside.

Instructions

  • Cut 4 pieces of the Shades and Hues DSP and 4 of the Shy Shamrock cardstock.
  • Glue one edge of the 4-1/4” side and roll the DSP into a tube.
  • Apply glue or tape to one of the open ends and press it together. In the end these will resemble Sour Cream packets.
  • Cut the Shy Shamrock with your snips in small strips leaving about 1/4” at the bottom
  • Attach the Shy Shamrock to the open ends of the pouch.
  • Fill with whatever surprised you want, mine have small Linder Chocolate bunnies (2) and a small bag of Sour Candy Worms (2).
  • Once they are filled you can glue the top together.
  • Put one of the pouches into each triangle on the basket.
  • Tie off the basket so it’s snug.
  • Stamp your sentiment on a scrap piece of DSP in Shy Shamrock ink.
  • Punch out with the 1-1/4” circle punch.
  • Punch 1-3/4” circle from a scrap piece of cardstock and attach the sentient to the basket with linen thread

This will be a fun little gift to give to a friend or family member. Mine will be off to darling daughter and roommate!

As a bonus, I have this cute little Chocolate Bunny holder I wanted to share with you.

Measurements:

Peach Pie, Summer Splash and Petunia Pop 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 3” x 11” score at 4”, 8”, 9” & 10” and 2” x 2-7/8” scored at 1/2” and 1-1/2”

The original pattern came from my up-line, Tami White, but I did alter it just slightly… You can find her video and tutorial right here

I added the little 2” piece to help hold the bunny in better without having to glue them down. I simply glued this to the sides of the original design.

Happy Stamping!!

Product List

My Favorite Stampin Tools

1.Take Your Pick
144107s So many uses and attachments for this little tool that makes crafting so much easier! I have 3 currently in my tools drawer!
2.Stampin’ Glass Mat Studio (Imperial)
163987s This glass mat is amazing! I love that you can write on it, stamp on it and use it to line up paper. Easy to use and super easy to clean up when you’re all done!
3.Simply Scored
122334s The Simply Scored is in my top 5 because it make scoring easy when you’re doing a bunch of scoring at once or intricate score marks for a fold. Also saves you from cutting when wanting to score! The diagonal board is also super helpful when doing scores for envelopes and boxes.
4.Blending Brushes
153611s Oh my blending brushes. These little fellows are a blessing when it comes to adding color and making scenes! I could write an entire book on why you should have these in your tool bag!
5.Soft Pastels Assortment
154585s These are a sentimental favorite. I have been using soft pastels in art work since high school. They are a unique color tool that believe it or not has a lot of different uses and color techniques. If you want to explore coloring then grab a set of these!
